Sometimes, I am so busy in life (and in art) I forget to play!!

Playing is where creativity comes from – its sooo important!!!

I have had a really really busy, hectic, stressful past few weeks, and well lets just say…. I have needed to play, I needed to have fun and I am so thankful for those in my life helping me to do that. I also realised of late that have to consciously MAKE myself “play” and the ironic thing is, as an artist (and probably as a person) this is where I experience the most growth.

It’s been hard for me to

let go

and be  “present” in the moment and just have joy no matter what I am doing.

I read a blog post recently that was about being “present” no matter what you are doing, if you are cooking dinner .. truly cook, enjoy the cooking, if you are spending time with your kids do that, if you are eating enjoy every mouthful and if you are painting paint!

When I read this post (sorry I can’t remember where) I realised that this is what i have been practicing with myself lately, kinda like my own little test for myself  – I try to “just be” and practice the fun of whatever I am doing and be in the moment without thinking too much about the end result.

I encourage you to give it a go!
