Last year one of the big projects was creating illustrations for my client and friend Louise Harding for her book Nose to Tail.
I needed to create a few characters to illustrate her dog training techniques but the star of the show is the dog we created ‘Illy’.
Illy had to do a few things in the book so he had a job to do didn’t just have to look pretty which meant there was a bunch of time working out things which I wouldn’t normally do if i was just drawing a dog 
As a momento of all the hard work that goes into writing a book I wanted to take all the work we did for the book and turn him into a mixed media painting for Louise.
